Matt began his career in the healthcare industry in 1997, gaining a certificate in Fitness In Exercise Science at Nelson Polytechnic, and then went on to complete a BSc in Anatomy and Structural Biology {2001} and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy {2004}.

Matt worked as a personal trainer in Wellington before moving to Australia in 2005.
He spent the next 10 years in a number of diverse physiotherapy roles around Australia ranging from urban private practice and hospital work to remote and rural outreach services, indigenous health and community based physiotherapy.
Matt brings a broad skill set to Physio 54, with particular interest in acute lumbar injuries and sports injury rehabilitation.

Matt is trained and experienced in Massage, Acupuncture, Sport Injuries, Headaches, Spinal Manipulation, Manual Therapy, Occupational Health, exercise regimes, all Sprains and strains, Arthritis, Formthotic fitting, pain relief, surgery rehabilitation, work injuries, workplace assessment.
